Alan Wake 2 Night Springs DLC announced, along with physical editions of Alan Wake 2
Alan Wake 2 is finally receiving a physical release, and there's exciting news about the new Night Springs DLC.
At Summer Game Fest, Sam Lake from Remedy took the stage to share updates on Alan Wake 2. He started by acknowledging the enthusiasm fans have shown for Remedy games, noting one glaring omission: Alan Wake 2. To remedy this, Alan Wake 2 will be released in physical Deluxe and Collector’s editions later this year.
The Deluxe Edition, priced at $80, will launch on October 22, 2024. It includes the base game, everything from the Digital Deluxe Edition, and a download code for Alan Wake Remastered.
Limited Run Games will publish the Limited Collector’s Edition in November, featuring all content from the Deluxe Edition plus a fully functional replica of Alan Wake’s Angel Lamp, a key and keychain for the Ocean View Hotel, and an artbook.
Regarding the DLC, titled Night Springs, Sam Lake revealed it consists of three what-if style stories featuring characters who are eerily familiar. These characters are reimagined versions within Alan Wake’s narrative. The first story revolves around waitress Rose Marigold, followed by The Actor portrayed by actor Shawn Ashmore, known for his roles in Remedy titles. Lastly, The Sibling is based on Jesse Faden from Control.
Excitingly, Night Springs will be available starting tomorrow, June 8. If you haven't purchased the season pass, which includes the Lake House DLC in October, it can be bought separately for $20. The Expansion Pass will also be bundled with the physical editions of the game.
